The Atletico KIDS Outdoor Program is designed as an introduction to soccer through a child-centered, age-appropriate approach that prioritizes movement, exploration, and enjoyment of the game.

At this stage, soccer and the ball are used as tools β€” not the goal β€” allowing children to explore how their bodies move, interact with space, and relate to others in a fun and supportive environment. Sessions focus on building polymotor foundations, encouraging children to experiment with movements both with and without the ball while developing coordination, balance, agility, and basic motor skills.

Training activities are carefully adapted to the child’s developmental stage, using games and playful challenges that promote creativity, confidence, and curiosity. Through these experiences, players begin to understand simple game concepts while naturally improving their technical abilities β€” always at their own pace.

The program is built around three core pillars:

  • Social: learning to share, cooperate, communicate, and build relationships with peers

  • Motor: developing fundamental movement skills and overall physical literacy

  • Sport: discovering soccer in a positive, pressure-free environment

Small-sided games and guided play allow children to engage with the game organically, fostering a love for soccer while laying the foundation for long-term athletic and personal development.

At Atletico, we believe the early years should be about movement, imagination, and joy β€” creating confident kids first, and soccer players second.
