The U7s Co-ed & U9 Girls Outdoor Program is designed for players in the early stages of initiation, where learning happens through exploration, play, and constant interaction with the ball.

At this age, children learn best by doing. Our methodology ensures each player has maximum contact time with the ball, allowing them to build a natural relationship with the game without limiting creativity or spontaneous decision-making. Sessions are structured to respect each child’s developmental rhythm while promoting confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment.

The program is built around the same three foundational pillars that guide our youngest athletes:

  • Social: developing cooperation, communication, and positive peer relationships

  • Motor: strengthening fundamental movement patterns and physical literacy

  • Sport: introducing soccer concepts in a fun, pressure-free environment

A strong emphasis is placed on motor development as a key tool during this phase. Players work on coordination, balance, agility, and multilateral movement, creating the foundation for future motor tasks both with and without the ball β€” not only in soccer, but in everyday life.

Through small-sided games, guided play, and age-appropriate challenges, players begin to understand space, simple game principles, and teamwork β€” all within a soccer format adapted to the child, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

At Atletico, we believe early development should protect the child’s natural connection with the game β€” encouraging them to move, explore, and grow through soccer.
