U9 Boys Outdoor Soccer Program
🗓April 28 – July 11
33 sessions total | 3 sessions per week
YOB (2017-2018)
Training Days:
Tuesdays & Thursdays – 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM
Game Day:
Saturdays – 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM
Training Location:
Indoor (April) Outdoor Fields (May-July) – TBD
The U9 Boys Outdoor Program is built on a holistic development approach, where every element of the player’s growth is connected and intentionally developed. These are not simple practices — each session is designed as a laboratory of exploration, a space where players experiment, problem-solve, and create their own tools that will support their future performance in sport and everyday life.
The program is guided by our three core development pillars:
Social: leadership, communication, teamwork, and respect
Motor: coordination, agility, balance, strength, and overall physical literacy
Sport: technical development, game understanding, and intelligent decision-making
At this age, we prioritize ensuring players spend more time with the ball than without it. Sessions are structured to maximize ball contact through dynamic activities, challenges, and small-sided games that keep players constantly engaged.
Using a holistic methodology, we present game situations that respect the player’s stage of development while encouraging creativity, confidence, and initiative. Players are challenged to explore solutions, make decisions under pressure, and understand space, time, and relationships within the game — all in an environment that remains fun, demanding, and purposeful.
At Atletico, we believe development happens when players are trusted to explore, make mistakes, and learn — supported by a structured environment that turns every session into meaningful growth.
